He has worked extensively on bird diversity and conservation, as well as the ecotoxicology, environmental monitoring, genetics and diversity of freshwater turtles Genus Malayemys. His background is wildlife toxicologist. His research involves understanding the impact of pollutants contamination on some wildlife population. his MSc thesis focused on organochlorine pesticide residues in Little egret eggs, while his dissertation examined organochlorine pesticide and sex determination in snail-eating turtles. His research publications include studies on the adverse effect of pollutants such as pesticide and heavy metal on the wildlife. Furthermore, he published the Impact of water fluctuation by dam in the Mekong River on the hatching success sandbar-nesting birds.
