- On August 30, 2023, the Department of Environmental Science held a special seminar entitled "The peculiar breeding of the Pheasant-tailed jacana: study of a population in Kaeng Nam Ton, Khon Kaen” by Dr. Wolwenn Fresneau with 82 undergraduate and graduate students attended the seminar. Dr. Nolwenn is a visiting researcher from the Behavioral Ecology Research Group, Faculty of Engineering, University of Pannonia, Hungary. She is studying “Demographic drivers of sex-role reversal and skewed sex ratio in the Pheasant-tailed jacana” in collaboration with Dr. Wangworn Sankamethawee under the MOU between the Faculty of Science, KKU and Faculty of Engineering, UP.
- After a semester of learning in the class on key ecological studies such as plot sampling, limiting factors, species distribution, community similarity, vegetative structure analysis and ecosystem structure, students in the Ecology Laboratory course have to put these together to demonstrate their understanding on the Ecology subject. The students design their own study methods to examine the assigned ecosystem, including aquatic and forest ecosystems. Most importantly, they work as a team, deal with unexpected problems and enjoy good and bad time together with peers. Thumbs up everyone!
Teacher Appreciation’s Day – “Wai Krue”, Environmental Science, Academic Year 2022 All students are warmly welcome to the Environmental Science Family where everyone meets and greets, especially first year students. “Wai Krue” describes teacher-student relationships where teachers provide knowledge and life lessons, while students receive them through hand-on training and learning. Flowers arranged on trays and bouquets were presented as a token of appreciation to their teachers. Moreover, students participated in planting trees to help make our campus and environment green.
The Department of Environmental Science, KKU held an online student orientation on July 9, 2021 to welcome all new students to the Department. Despite the COVID19 pandemics, a total of 92 first-year students participated in the meeting, together with faculty members and second-year students. A warm welcome speech from the Dept. Chair was given, following presentations on the study program, student scholarships, KKU health-care service and student-activity credits. At the end, second-year students shared their experiences with the freshy students about their life on KKU-campus.
"เมื่อวันที่ 30 กันยายน 2564 ที่ผ่านมา สาขาวิทยาศาสตร์สิ่งแวดล้อม ได้จัดงานมุทิตาจิตเนื่องในโอกาสเกษียณอายุราชการของ ผศ.ดร.พิสิฏฐ์ เจริญสุดใจ ขึ้นเพื่อให้เหล่าบุคลากร เจ้าหน้าที่ รวมถึงศิษย์เก่าและศิษย์ปัจจุบันได้แสดงความรู้สึกที่มี่ต่อ ผศ.ดร.พิสิฏฐ์ เจริญสุดใจ โดยการถ่ายทอดสดผ่านทางโปรแกรม ZOOM เนื่องจากปัจจุบันยังอยู่ในสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดของโรคCOVID19 ทำให้เหล่านักศึกษาทั้งศิษย์เก่าและศิษย์ปัจจุบันไม่สามารถเดินทางเพื่อมาเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมดังกล่าวได้ สาขาวิชาฯต้องจัดกิจกรรมในรูปแบบใหม่ (new normal) เพื่อป้องกันการระบาดของโรคCOVID19 สำหรับบรรยากาศและความรู้สึกต่างๆของเหล่านักศึกษา สามารถคลิกเข้าดูได้ที่ลิงค์ด้านล่าง"

กิจกรรม "แนะแนวทางการเรียน และเส้นทางอาชีพ เส้นทางชีวิต ประสบการณ์พี่บอกน้อง" สาขาวิทยาศาสตร์สิ่งแวดล้อม คณะวิทยาศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น วันที่ 18 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2563 ผ่านระบบ Zoom VDO Conference เป็นกิจกรรมรูปแบบใหม่ที่จัดทำขึ้นในยุค New Normal
"สาขาวิทยาศาสตร์สิ่งแวดล้อม คณะวิทยาศาสตร์ ได้จัดงานมุฑิตาจิตเกษียณอายุราชการ ผศ.ดร.เพ็ญประภา เพชระบูรณินขึ้นเมื่อวันที่ 25 กันยายน 2563 ณ ห้องประชุมวิทยวิภาส มีศิษย์เก่า และศิษย์ปัจจุบัน เข้าร่วมงานอย่างอบอุ่น ซึ่งธีมของงานในครั้งนี้คือ สนุกสนานมันฮาตามประสาวิทยาศาสตร์สิ่งแวดล้อม
